Memory of Nations Network

.

Supported by Visegrad Fund Memory of Nations database expanded

Memory of Nations database is quickly growing. At the moment the database already contains 2800 testimonies and more than 3000 registered   researchers can work with them.  In 2012 three workshops abroad were organized to search for new partners and contributors to the portal. Thanks to the International Visegrad Fund we succeeded in establishing new partnerships with such important institutions as The Institute for the History of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution in Hungary, Sighet Memorial in Romania, Documenta from Croatia and several individual researchers interested in history. At the moment Memory of Nations has 27 partners in 13 European countries that cooperate on Memory of Nations project by sparing their testimonies on the portal.  Most of the cooperating organizations are NGOs but the cooperation with research institutes or individual researchers and journalists was established as well. The reset of the fruitful cooperation in 2012 are 19 new international testimonies published by our new Visegrad project partners on the Memory of Nations portal.
